Two fellow sailors narrowly escape death during a hurricane. Two sisters get engaged to two sailors, who are friends with each other. The men go out fishing on the Thomas S. Corton_. Just as the women are notified of the sailors safe return, a raging hurricane breaks out. During the night, the sisters father receives a telegram indicating that the ship is sinking. The brother of the two women is only able to save one of the men, but fortunately a fishing boat manages to save the other.
